Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Compliance Manager

Overview: Chacha Limited, a Thailand based global producer and marketer of organic rice noodles, Pasta, seasonings and organic super foods is looking for a Asst. Manager Purchase based at its Bangkok office or Chiang Rai office to lead and manage the Purchase functions of the company. Company is seeking a Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Compliance Manager to oversee compliance functions and ensure adherence to American food safety standards and regulations. This role is crucial in maintaining the highest standards of safety, health, and environmental practices throughout our operations, while ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks such as FDA, OSHA, USDA, and other industry standards. Qualifications and Requirements: • Education: Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health and Safety, Food Science, or a related field. • Experience: 5+ years of experience in food safety, health, and environmental compliance within the food manufacturing or processing industry. • Certification in relevant fields (e.g., Certified Safety Professional (CSP), HACCP Certification) is highly desirable. • Proven experience managing regulatory audits and inspections. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. • Excellent English and Thai communication and leadership abilities.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Regulatory Compliance: o Ensure the organization meets all applicable food safety, health, and environmental regulations, including FDA, USDA, OSHA, EPA, and HACCP standards. o Stay up to date with evolving laws and regulations and update company practices and policies accordingly. o Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory audits and inspections. 2. Food Safety Management: o Oversee and maintain food safety programs, including HACCP, GMPs, SSOPs, and other risk management initiatives. o Conduct internal audits to identify non-compliance and implement corrective actions. o Train staff on plant safety protocols, hygiene practices, and regulatory compliance requirements. 3. Health and Safety Oversight: o Develop and implement workplace health and safety programs to ensure employee well-being and prevent workplace injuries. o Perform regular safety inspections and risk assessments. o Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, or non-compliance issues and implement corrective and preventive measures. 4. Environmental Management: o Monitor and manage the company’s environmental impact, including waste management, energy usage, and sustainability initiatives. o Develop strategies to minimize environmental risks and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. 5. Training and Development: o Conduct compliance training sessions for staff at all levels, emphasizing a culture of safety and accountability. o Prepare educational materials and guidelines related to SHE policies. 6. Documentation and Reporting: o Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, audits, and inspections. o Prepare and submit required regulatory reports in a timely manner. o Provide regular updates to senior management on compliance status and improvement initiatives.
Preferred Skills: • Experience with sustainability initiatives and corporate responsibility programs. • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices. • Proficiency in compliance management software and tools.
