Job Summary:
The Power Foundation, a leading nonprofit organisation focused on advancing women's health in South Africa, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Fundraising Manager to spearhead its fundraising efforts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising, an existing network of donors, and a deep understanding of CSR/CSI and government grant processes. This role is instrumental in securing funding to support the growth and sustainability of the foundation's programs and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising plans aligned with the organisation’s goals.
• Identify and pursue diverse funding opportunities, including individual donors, corporate sponsorships, government grants, and institutional funding.

Donor Engagement:

• Cultivate relationships with existing and potential donors to build long-term support.
• Leverage personal and professional networks to expand the foundation's donor base.

Proposal Writing & Grant Applications:

• Research, prepare, and submit compelling grant applications and funding proposals.
• Ensure compliance with donor requirements and government grant processes.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR/CSI):

• Collaborate with corporate partners to secure sponsorships and donations.
• Develop tailored proposals for companies seeking to fulfil their CSR/CSI objectives.

Growth Management:

• Oversee the allocation of funding to various programs to maximise impact.
• Monitor and report on fundraising performance, including ROI and donor satisfaction.

Event Coordination:

• Organise fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives to raise awareness and funds.

Financial Stewardship:

• Work closely with the finance team to ensure transparency and effective use of funds.
• Prepare and present regular financial and progress reports to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, nonprofit management, or related roles.
• Proven success in securing major donations, grants, and sponsorships.
• Familiarity with South African government grant processes and corporate giving frameworks (CSR/CSI).

Skills:

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to prepare detailed budgets and funding forecasts.
• Proficiency in fundraising software and donor management systems.
