Financial Manager

Their key responsibilities include:
Financial Management: To generate and analyse financial data, compile reports, track industry trends, and evaluate the organization's overall economic health.
Department Oversight: Lead the finance department's operations and development by establishing and reviewing policies, managing budgets, overseeing recruitment and training, and conducting regular evaluations of financial practices.
Compliance Supervision: Oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual account reconciliations, ensure adherence to tax regulations and financial reporting standards, and assist with forecasting cash flow.
Advisory Role: Provide counsel to colleagues and senior management regarding financial decisions impacting the organization.
Documentation Management: Oversee the accurate documentation of the company's financial position and forecasts.
Stakeholder Mediation: Facilitate communication and resolution among the organization, employees, stakeholders, shareholders, and investors concerning financial matters.
Strategic Planning: Develop strategic business plans informed by analyses of the company's financial status and projections.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; a professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA, CIMA, ACCA. SAICA)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in a holding company or multi-business environment.
- Proven experience in managing a finance team with a focus on performance improvement and team development.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance in South Africa.
- Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
