Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in contract management or commercial law are advantageous.
- Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in commercial management or a similar role, preferably in the industrial services or mining sector
- Proven track record in tender preparation, contract negotiation, and commercial operations
- Experience in managing cross-border operations and understanding of African market dynamics
- Tender and Proposal Management - Oversee the preparation, submission, and negotiation of tenders for all business units, ensuring competitive and profitable bids. Review tender documents, identify risks, and ensure compliance with client requirements and company policies. Collaborate with Financial Managers, General Managers, and operational teams to gather necessary inputs for tender preparation. Track tender success rates and implement strategies to improve win rates
- Contract and Commercial Oversight - Review, negotiate, and manage contracts to ensure alignment with company objectives and mitigate risks. Develop pricing strategies that balance competitiveness with profitability. Monitor contract performance to ensure all obligations are met and risks are managed effectively. Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and governance standards for all commercial activities.
- Strategic Contribution - Contribute to the company’s strategic planning process, particularly in identifying growth opportunities and new market entry strategies. Provide insights on market trends and customer needs to inform business decisions. Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration - Work closely with the Financial Managers in South Africa and Africa to ensure alignment on financial and commercial matters. Support and mentor teams involved in tendering, contract management, and commercial operations. Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure commercial activities align with broader organisational goals.
- Risk and Compliance Management - Identify and manage commercial risks associated with tenders, contracts, and operational activities. Ensure adherence to local and international legal and regulatory requirements, particularly for cross-border operations. Implement and maintain internal controls for commercial activities.
Pay: Up to R58 000,00 per month
