The Lead Io T Developer is responsible for shopfloor equipment connectivity in support of bringing smart factory solutions into reality. The role will involve remote management of inhouse staff and external contractors

The Lead Io T Developer is responsible for shopfloor equipment connectivity in support of bringing smart factory solutions into reality. The role will involve remote management of inhouse staff and external contractors
- Manage activities to connect our factories within Magna’s selected framework.
- Develop new techniques to connect legacy equipment to modern infrastructure.
- Create Io T applications that run on-premises and in the cloud.
- Develop KPIs, metrics, and other monitoring tools to track I4.0 production environments.
- Work with source control tools (Confluence, Git Hub, etc.)
- Support Magna locations to connect equipment and systems
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field of study
- Minimum three plus (3+) years of related experience required
- PLC programming background, i.e., Siemens, Omron or Rockwell controllers
- Robot programming background, i.e., Fanuc, ABB, Kuka etc.
- Understanding of multiple computer programming languages, i.e., Java Script, C#, R, Python, C++ and/or Java

Experience with microservices such as Node Red
- Experience in Unified Name Space Architecture
- Experience of AMQP and MQTT message protocols and implementation
- Familiarity with BI technologies, i.e., Microsoft Power BI, AWS Quicksight, Qlikview
- Experience in Factory Cyber Security topics
- Experience in project managing multiple activities.
