QUALIFICATIONS
Application Question(s):
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in power system protection Engineering.
- Must possess KAHRAMAA certification for 11k V protection.
- 11k V Relay Protection Operation and Maintenance
- Design and configure 11k V protection schemes, including relays and circuit breakers.
- Conduct routine testing and commissioning of protection systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in protection and control systems
- Develop and maintain protection system documentation and technical reports.
- Ensure compliance with Kahramaa standards, specifications, and safety guidelines.
- Conduct fault analysis and coordinate with operational teams to optimize system reliability.
- Collaborate with project and maintenance teams to implement upgrades and modifications.
- Implement lockout-tagout (LOTO) procedures during maintenance and repair activities.
- Diagnose electrical faults and perform corrective actions to restore equipment functionality.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment such as insulation testers, relay test kits, and thermal imaging cameras.
- Prepare incident reports and submit findings to supervisors or project managers.
- Update single-line diagrams, schematics, and operational manuals as necessary.
- Hands-on experience with SCADA systems and substation automation.
- Respond to power outages, equipment failures, or emergencies involving 11k V systems.
