Lead Data Engineer - Managed Services

Hiire is helping Hakkoda to hire a Lead Data Engineer to join their Managed Services team.
You will be part of the Managed Services team, focused on helping our clients optimize and improve their use of data and other providing snowflake administration services such as break-fix management, monitoring, enhancements backlog, and troubleshooting, among others.

What we're looking for:
We are looking for experienced people who monitor, automate, and improve software systems' reliability, performance, and availability in an organization. You will work directly with customers to understand their needs and collaborate with internal and customer teams to prevent incidents, manage infrastructure, build effective monitoring systems, and ensure the smooth operation of computer systems. We expect our Leads to mentor and coach other associates and stay current on the ever-changing technical landscape.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, or a similar analytical field;
- 4+yrs in related technical roles, 1+ in management or team leadership;
- Experience hiring, developing, and managing a technical team;
- Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large-scale distributed software applications;
- Experience designing and developing data warehouses (Teradata, Oracle Exadata, Netezza, SQL Server, Spark);
- Experience building ETL / ELT ingestion pipelines with tools like Data Stage, Informatica, Matillion;
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and tuning SQL, including analysis of query plans
- Working knowledge of data visualization tools;

Experience with business intelligence/data analytics;
- Cloud experience on Snowflake or AWS (Azure, and GCP are nice to have as well)
- Experience and expertise in Python and familiarity with the application of modern data science language is a plus;
- A proactive approach to identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement;
- Run the production environment by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health;

Advanced English.
