Valcourt Building Services is looking for an effective Construction Project Manager to join our Panhandle, Florida team. We are currently seeking someone to be a leading force that fuels our growing client relationships in our Fort Walton, Destin, and Panama City Markets. Why are we looking in Panhandle, FL? From Panama City, Florida to Gulf Shores, Alabama, we are recognized as a market leader in the restoration of beach front properties (mid and high rise). Our services include concrete restoration, coatings, stucco repairs, waterproofing, framing, siding, window and door replacement, post -tension repairs and a myriad of other services.
Essential Functions
· Familiar with the procurement of construction services, contract award and buy-out, authoring of RFI’s, AIA industry-standard documents and exhibits, and development of appropriate contract documents.
· Manage, coordinate, and inspect work while project is in progress and be able to contribute feedback that ensures a safer, cheaper, cleaner, lower impact work environment. Proactively improve the operational success of the projects.
· Perform accurate labor production and material coverage rate studies.
· Maintain project management logs (RFIs, changes, submittals, construction documents, FF&E, close-out)
· Familiarity with accepted industry practices, materials and techniques, knowledge of common and general code requirements, ADA requirements, mechanical systems and components, permitting processes and requirements.
· Assist company staff with controlling and monitoring project budget and schedules.
· Assist company staff with pricing exercises, generation of take-offs and quantities for work, administration of individual/special projects, interaction and communication with organizational stakeholders.
· Build and maintain lasting relationships with clients and partners by understanding focus and needs, and anticipating them in advance
· Coordinate internal and external resources to expedite workflow
· Manage communication between upper management and employees
· Attention to detail and ability to work to time constraints
Required Skills and Qualifications
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Support and solve problems for clients by understanding and exceeding their expectations
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel, with aptitude to learn systems
· Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn an array of computer hardware and software.
Education and Experience
· Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred but not required
· Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
· At least two years of experience in construction management or consulting engineering related role
· PMP Certification preferred but not required
. Experience related to concrete restoration, sealants, coatings, parking deck restoration, post tension repairs preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
