Job role: Senior Associate
Hours: 40 hours per week FTE
Team: Shipping - Piraeus
Location: Greece
Role overview
This is an exciting and rare opportunity to join a highly regarded Non-Contentious Shipping Team within the wider Marine Business Group in the Piraeus office. The team are ranked in the Legal 500.
The team deals with both commercial and contentious matters. This includes ship finance, ship sale and purchase and newbuilding contracts and commercial arrangements, including charterparty agreements, corporate law- company incorporations, shareholder and joint venture agreements and opinion work.
Key responsibilities:
- Drafting various transactional documentation
- Taking the lead and organizing the team in projects under the supervision of the matter partner
- Liaising with existing clients
- Attending marketing initiatives
What are we looking for:
- Admitted Attorney to a Bar Association of Greece and preferably England and Wales
- Excellent knowledge of English in terms of writing, drafting and oral skills
- Excellent command of any other language in terms of writing, drafting and oral skills will be considered as an asset
- Experience and regular use of Microsoft Office and the Internet including Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point, to at least an excellent level
- Ability to work independently or with a team of attorneys to develop case strategies
- Team-work spirit
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Strong communication, multitasking and analytical skills
