Let's start with the role
The Know Your Customer (KYC) Department is an integral part of our Client Operations Division. As a KYC Agent, you will play a crucial role in verifying and authenticating the identities of clients to mitigate risks related to fraud, money laundering, and other illicit activities. This involves meticulously reviewing and validating customer-provided documentation, conducting thorough background assessments, and ensuring diligent adherence to regulatory mandates.
As a KYC Agent, you will:
- Collect and analyze key information in accordance with the regulations of the competent auditing authorities;
- Assist customers with the KYC process, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience;;
- Approve withdrawal requests concerning document verification;
- Review and enhance previous data entries for accuracy;
- Communicate with other departments to resolve related to customer identification or withdrawal;
- Collaborate with team/shift leader and colleagues across various departments;
- Handle and share sensitive information appropriately and confidentially;
- Ensure compliance with AML (Anti-Money Laundering) laws and regulations;
- Address fraud alerts effectively;
- Update and maintain the customer database.
- 2+ years of experience as a KYC Agent, or in a related field;
- Observation and attention to detail;
- A customer-centric mindset with a focus on service orientation;
- MS Office / Google Suite skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English;
- Strong critical thinking abilities and exceptional research skills;
- Availability to work in shifts, including nights and weekends.
