What you will do
Vehicle Technology (VT) is just kicking-off a new organization at Volvo in Brazil (Curitiba).
We are looking for a Portfolio/Project Manager with passion to manage and align Vehicle Technology's portfolio in Curitiba between different Local and Global Stakeholders. The aim is to develop technology for sustainable and pioneering electronic and software products and services for future transport solutions.
In this role you will have to:
You will be reporting to Business development, Architecture, Services and Connectivity (BASC)'s Group Manager.
We are looking for a Portfolio/Project Manager with passion to manage and align Vehicle Technology's portfolio in Curitiba between different Local and Global Stakeholders. The aim is to develop technology for sustainable and pioneering electronic and software products and services for future transport solutions.
In this role you will have to:

Manage Epics/Projects in Curitiba VT's portfolio; - Work close with Epic owners/project managers in the different streams to be able to provide a complete solution and consolidated view from Vehicle Technology. You will need to be able to communicate on different levels in the organization;
- Secure clear scope and requirements and manage balancing activities if needed. To do this you need to have good understanding of the business value and project drivers;
- Be able to work in waterfall and agile wow environments;
- Define and communicate time-plan/milestones/integration points;
- Manage breakdowns and refinements with impacted streams;
- Support/Manage quality investigations in the department;
- With help from streams, manage and govern the project cost;
- Secure that deliveries and releases are performed in line with agreed plans, quality and cost targets;
- Support/Represent VT in different governance forums;
- Collaborate with the teams to improve our processes and strengthen our ability to deliver sustainable and relevant technical solutions (Continuous improvement mindset);
- Manage top risks and deviations.
You will be reporting to Business development, Architecture, Services and Connectivity (BASC)'s Group Manager.

- Bachelor's or Master´s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic/Control and Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent;
- 10 years of experience in project management position (agile and waterfall). Good skills in leadership, planning, communication and stakeholder management;
- Experience from Embedded systems development;
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken;
- Automotive knowledge – Understanding how different systems in a truck/car interacts and work together;
Meritorious to have:
- International and multi-cultural experience with a global organization;
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, power BI and requirement tools;
- A solid technical foundation in Software development in general;
- Experience from supplier management is beneficial.
