About the role
We’re seeking a Senior QA Engineer with a strong background in mobile application testing for Android and i OS to join our growing mobile development team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and education with an ability to work closely with our product managers and engineers to develop and execute test strategies for a variety of exciting new features.

Our Quality Engineers are well-versed in the various dimensions of the QA process, including manual, automated, accessibility, performance, and compatibility testing. With in-house automation testing training and multiple knowledge-sharing and upskilling initiatives, our QA experts help create the next generation of software testing professionals.

Responsibilities
- Participate in the whole lifecycle of software development from planning to release
- Review business requirements and develop test plans, test cases, test estimations, and test execution reports
- Perform functionality, regression, integration, UI, smoke, exploratory, stress and performance testing
- Manage all communications related to QA status on a daily basis and report potential risks during all stages of development lifecycle
- Work closely with development and product teams to resolve any issues that arise out of the testing process
- Analyze test results and facilitate resolution of issues
- Iterate on existing testing processes and standards to improve efficiency and accuracy
- 7+ years of work experience in software quality assurance
- 3+ years focus on mobile testing
- 2+ years with automation
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science or a related discipline
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Proficiency in writing test plans, creating test cases, test data, and managing/tracking defect logs
- Extensive experience in testing web and mobile applications
- Hands-on experience in test automation tools for mobile applications
- Experience with CI/CD tools to ensure continuous testing
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work both independently and on a wide variety of teams
- Passion for making bulletproof applications and improving education through technology
- Self-motivated, detail oriented, proactive and collaborative
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of JIRA, Unix, SQL, Java Script, CSS, source control, and mobile device development is a plus
- Scripting or programming experience is a plus
